KAABOO 2019 [Recap]

I had a chance to go to Kaaboo this year and had the best time!!! This was my first full weekend festival experience, so to be honest I had know idea what I was in for. I have been to Kaaboo before, but only went for 1 day.

For those who aren’t sure what Kaaboo is, it is a festival full of music, comedy, art, fashion and food. There is something for everyone!!! For the past few years it has been held at the Del Mar Fair grounds. In 2020 there will be a change in venue… Check out more information on the changes and what’s in store >>> Here

I met up with with my girls Kara and Christina (@sandiegosunshinesisters)!!! We danced and had such a great time together all weekend long. Natasha (@toshpointfroeats) came with me as well on Friday, but she wasn’t able to be there for the whole weekend :/. I ran in to a ton of other friends while I was there as well, it’s always fun to see all of my friends at events around San Diego!!!

Oh!!! Let me also not forget to mention that I also had a retreat to attend on Saturday and I had to go to work on Friday and Sunday. I made sure to take my vitamins and stay hydrated to be able to survive. Honestly by Sunday night is was DEAD!!! I Don’t know how I made it to work on Monday morning!!?? Only God knows!! (Haha)

My festival style

I wanted to be cute, but practical at the same time. I wore sandals, boots and sneakers during the weekend, because wearing heels just doesn’t make sense when you are standing and walking around for 6 to 9 hours. It was also pretty hot, so my theme for the weekend was light weight fabrics and crop tops. Here are 2 of my look details from the weekend.

Ok… Lets talk about what artists I saw. I don’t mention much about my music tastes really, but I like a little bit of everything!!! I love live music and seeing what instruments are being played during the show (side note I use to be in band from elementary school to middle school and loved it. I played the Violin and the Clarinet.). Seeing an artist live is such a different experience than just listening to them on a studio album. The whole process of putting music together is super fascinating to me, but that’s not what we are talking about here.

Friday’s line up : I saw Boyz II Men, Maren Morris, Snoop Dogg and Wu-Tang Clan

Saturday’s line up: I saw Cheat Codes, OneRepublic, and Black Eyed Peas

Seeing Black Eyed Peas live made my whole entire weekend!!! We got super close to the stage and sang along to every single song!!! By the way being squished up front during a show is wild!!!!

Sunday’s line up: I saw The Revivalists, Colbie Caillat and Mumford & Sons

I had such a great weekend and I have to thank Blue Moon for hosting and inviting me!!! Can’t wait to see what Kaaboo brings to San Diego in 2020!!!
