Fashion Week San Diego 2017 - Behind The Runway

Wooooo!!! It has been a very eventful weekend and I am super excited to share this post!! As most of you know, or maybe you don't know... I started blogging by just sharing my experience as a model and giving an inside scoop of the ins and outs of what the industry is really like. My blog has evolved and has transformed a lot since then, but being able to share my experience is what I truly love and will always try to give as much insight as I can to you all that are looking to be a model or even start your own blog.

Any way Fashion Week San Diego just happened last week, and I was so excited to be in the show this year. FWSD actually just celebrated 10 years, so it was pretty cool to be in the shows. I took a year off from modeling and doing runway, because I really wanted to build my own brand and get some other experiences under my belt. I did a lot behind the scenes putting events together and even started doing some private sessions for models that wanted to work on their walks, which has been amazing. 2017 I felt was a good time to come back and be part of one of the biggest shows in my home city. I have done hundreds of shows over the years, but FWSD is like coming back home to family. I have seen so many artists evolve and models grow so much by being part of Fashion Week. I have made so many connections and have a great group of friends with in the industry here and we all have each other's back. People often sleep on the artists of San Diego and don't think that there is much to offer here, but I truly beg to differ! San Diego has some of the most talented people that I have ever met and I don't think that a lot of people are as supportive as they should be. I can go on and on, but I believe more local support is soooo needed!!

Ok moving on... so a lot of people go to shows and see the runway from the stage, but never see what happens backstage behind the scenes. It takes a village to put a show together!!!

During day 2 my self and Sharika went to the store and picked up snacks for the model fam!!! We often don't eat enough back stage during shows and I don't like to see anyone starve!! I wanted to do a little something.

By the time I took this photo the snacks on the table were half way gone... #feedthemodels
