Monthly Favorites - Products that I have used in the last several months

It has been a few months since my last monthly favorites post, so I wanted to do a quick round up for you all and share what I have been using lately. I have been in to taking and adding more vitamins in to my daily routine and I have definitely seen a difference in my skin and the way how I feel each day, and I am excited to share more as I continue my wellness journey.

Here are the products that I have been using in the past several months. Check it out below.

Almost every day of the week I make a morning smoothie and in that smoothie I try to pack it with as many vitamins in as I can so that I am good to go for the day and have the nutrients in my body to carry me through any thing that I may face on a day to day. Immuneti sent over their Advanced Immune Defense supplement for me to try and I have been adding it in to my morning smoothies. I honestly have a hard time taking capsules, so it’s easier for me to drink it.

Immuneti includes Vitamin C, Zinc, Garlic Bulb, Elderberry and Echinacea!! Talk about a huge boost to the immune system!! I love that there is an all in one option, instead of taking a ton of individual vitamins.

o Vitamin C – vital nutrient that boosts immunity and assists in many other vital bodily functions

o Zinc – powerful mineral known for reducing duration of a common cold

o Garlic Bulb – superfood known to enhance immune system health and function

o Elderberry – packed with antioxidants to super healthy brain aging and immune system response

o Echinacea - powerful herb that supports the immune system

• Some of the many benefits Immuneti has to offer…

o Comprehensive vitamin that helps support/promotes a healthy immune system

o Helps to reduce duration of cold and flu (garlic, echinacea, zinc & vitamin C)

o Provides vital nutrients o Supports cardiovascular health (vitamin c and zinc)

o Contains powerful antioxidants (vitamin C and elderberry)

o Promotes healthy looking skin and collagen formation (vitamin c and zinc)

o Helps relieve stress and tension (echinacea)

Also in my smoothies I add in protein and I have decided to try out a new one recently!! I found the KOS brand while just doing a search for plant based and vegan protein options. I don’t do dairy, so I am always on the look out for Vegan and Plant options!! What drew me in to the KOS brand, were the ingredients and the nutrients that they include in their powders. Some of the ingredients included are Chia seeds, Quinoa, Flax seed and Pumpkin seed protein just to name a few. It also does contain coconut, so if you are allergic… I do not recommend this for you. Other than that, it is an awesome all in one protein powder that tastes really good and I enjoy using it. It doesn’t upset my stomach, because some powders do, and I don’t feel overly stuffed after drinking it. If you use protein powder often, then I’m sure you will understand what I mean. I am currently on my second tub of Chocolate protein and I plan on trying other flavors as well soon. Check out KOS and all of their options at kos.com .

Ok moving to skin care that I have been using lately… I recently was part of a Zoom chat with Jan Marini, and she talked about skin care, different issues that people deal with and some good practices to use on a daily basis to maintain good skin. Keeping my skin clear and looking good has been an on going process and something that I take pride in personally. It feels good to get compliments on my skin now, because it is something that I did struggle with for years and have had really terrible breakouts in the past. Learning to treat and not just use a ton of stuff on my skin, has been my main focus and what I continue to learn about. I was sent a few products to try out after attending the chat. The 2 products that I was sent from Jan Marini Skin Research, were the Marini Multi-Acid Resurfacing Pads and the Marini Mattify serum (which is a newer item to the site). I have been using the Resurfacing pads more than the serum, since I have other serums that I am using currently. The serum can be used by itself with a regular skin care routine or under makeup. The resurfacing pads are a great way to gently exfoliate and polish the skin, and I have found that they are great to use after a few days of wearing make up. I personally don’t wear a ton of make up all the time, but on days that I do I like to do a deeper cleanse. Typically I use the pads a few times a week, and it has worked well for me. I will use 1 pad swipe it all over my face, let the product sit for about 10 mins, then cleanse like I normally do after. There is a slight tingling sensation during use, but no burning. I know some people may have sensitive skin, so you kind of have to test and see how your skin reacts. I’m not going to lie, the products are a bit on the pricery side, but the quality is worth it!! Lastly at the end of my round up… I have been using Irish Seamoss in the past several months and it has been a game changer in my skin and personal over all health. I have heard a ton about sea moss in the past several years and have been wanting to try it out, so I figured why not do it now!!! It has become really popular in the past several years among the black community and has tons of great health benefits. Here’s a list attached of a few benefits and also here is an article for tons more information from detoxcandcure.com . They go pretty indepth and explain the benefits way better than I could ever do myself. For me personally I have noticed that my skin is a lot smoother and I sleep better and wake up more often with out an alarm, which has been interesting. I also have noticed less bloating as well, which is always a good thing!!! How do you use sea moss?? I’m sure that is a big question!!! Here’s what I do… First thing to know is that the sea moss is going to come dirty when you get it, so you have to clean it first. I’ve looked up and have seen a few different ways that it has been prepared, but what I do is first soak the moss in clean water and get all of the dirt off of it. After it is cleaned, I add the moss to more clean water and let in sit and expand (I let it set over night usually). After it expands it can be blended up with water to create a gel, then you can use the gel how ever you like I usually will make tea or add it in to my smoothies. My skin care and my wellness is something that is so important to me and I am always looking out for the best ways to live happy and more healthier than ever!!! I hope that you enjoy my quick list of the month and possibly try something that I share. Also let me know some of your favorites. What is something that you have tried that you love?
