If you are thinking about visiting Texas, the first thing you will probably be struck by is just how much there is to see. The truth is that Texas has plenty to offer, and no matter what it is that you are looking for, you will find it there in some manner or another. To help with your visit, it might be a good idea to look into some of the very best all-round places to go if you want to see Texas, so in this post we are going to put together a few of those in particular that you may want to check out.

San Antonio

Often touted as the number one place to visit if you are touring Texas, San Antonio is a beautiful place that you will especially love if you are a history buff, owing to its historical relics like the Alamo. It’s also a great spot if you’re after a relaxing time, as you can just go for a soothing stroll along the river, and it’s got plenty of attractions to keep you excited as well. There are also a few golf courses you can go to if you are keen on a game while you’re traveling.

Austin

Texas’s capital city is also arguably its most exciting and certainly most colorful place to be. In Austin you will find everything there is to love about Texas distilled into one amazing, vibrant city. Whether you want to check out the huge range of local Austin restaurants or you are keen on visiting the various museums that are dotted around, there’s no doubt that there is a lot to see and do here that you will want to try out for yourself. It’s definitely a must-see if you are in Texas for any length of time.

Big Bend National Park
Of course, it’s not just about the cities, and if you want to see more of what Texas has to offer, you may want to check out some of its beautiful countryside too. The best place to do that is arguably the Big Bend National Park, which nestles along the US-Mexico border and is full of dirt roads for those scenic drives, while also being a great place to go hiking, with over 150 hiking trails to choose from. A perfect spot for the more outdoorsy traveler visiting Texas, Big Bend is a real must-see.

Houston
The other major city apart from Austin is of course Houston, and this one has more of a reputation of being a party town. So if you are looking for a lively time, you will probably be more likely to find it in Houston. It’s also one of the US’ top BBQ locations, making it a good spot for those looking for a finger-licking good time. And there is plenty of culture too, with art galleries and museums for you to spend entire days wandering around. All in all, it’s a spot that you are going to be glad you checked out.
