Wearable Spring / Summer Fashion Trends 2023
Spring is in the air, Summer will soon follow and with that comes fun fashion trends. I love sharing what’s new and happening in the fashion scene, and enjoy sharing different ways that you can incorporate what’s trending in to your every day looks. I always say, you do not have to follow fashion trends and it’s ok if you don’t like what’s on trend at the moment. Style and wear what works for you.
In this post I will be sharing a few trends that stand out to me for the season and a few ways that it can be wearable.
One thing that I have seen quite a bit in the past few seasons that have stood out to me, is Cargo Jackets and Pants. Cargos have made a huge come back and there are so many styles to choose from. For the pants, I have seen them in ultra baggy styles and also a bit more tailored as well. There are also cargo jackets and blazers that I feel can bring a bit of edge to a simple look.
Denim is having a moment!! But I mean, when does denim ever go out of style? I think that it is a staple to always have in your wardrobe during all seasons. One thing that is widely on trend at the moment are the maxi denim skirts, and there is a range of styles that are so much fun to see. Denim is perfect for an every day look and can be dressed up or down. There are a range of pieces from dresses, pants, skirts and blazers. There are so many ways to incorporate denim in to every day style.
Shimmer and Metallics have been super popular in the past several seasons as well, and I love that they are here to stay for a while. To me adding a little shimmer in to a look makes a statement, and just brings a bit of glam and fun in to an outfit. I honestly wouldn’t be who I am with out and bit of glitter. Any way metallics and shimmer can be added to a look as an accessory if you are not in to a head to toe shimmery look.
Corset tops have caught my eye recently and has been a trend piece that I feel comes back quite a bit as well. They are great for layering, or can be worn alone and with a blazer. There are tons of fun colors as well as neutrals that can be added to an everyday look. Corsets can be dressed up with trousers, a dress or skirt. Also can be worn dressed down with jeans or even some joggers. There are so many ways to mix and match.
Purple Hues have always been a fave of mine, and its exciting to see the shades popping up much more lately. Playing with different colors each season, is a fun way to play with styling. A pop of color is easy to incorporate in to looks for anytime of day. Give it a go and try it out, especially if you are looking to try out different colors than you may be use to.
Last things trending on my list when it comes to spring and summer style, is Fringe. Fringe is another thing that has been an on again and off again trend, that has been fun for me to play with. I have had accessories such as bags and shoes, and I have my eye out for a jacket that I can added to my collection. I love keeping pieces for a long time that I can wear often. Fringe is another thing that I think adds a statement to different pieces and looks that can be layered in a ton of different ways. Fringe is on a number of things like… Bags, Jackets, boots, earrings and so much more. There are so many ways that you can add in fringe to your everyday style.
