What I wore in New York...
Going to New York as I have stated before is some where that I have wanted to go, and part of my excitement in going was packing what I wanted to wear. As crazy as it may sound I love Fall and Winter weather because of all of the layers, but I don’t get to wear them the way that I want to in California. I got to actually experience the real cold and dress for it while in New York and wear real coats!!! I know I am a mess, but I had so much fun putting my looks together for fashion week and wanted to share with y’all some of my favorites.
Check them out below…
Before going to New York I bought a few pairs of boots that I could wear with multiple looks and also be warm, cozy and cute all at the same time. In that process I searched google for “Over the knee boots for skinny legs” (for real that’s what I searched). I found these on Asos (they are by Public Desire), and it is a purchase that I am so happy that I made. I picked them, because of the pointy toe and chunky block heel. I was able to walk literally all over the city and my feet didn’t hurt!! That is a win win in my book, because I love heels but don’t like when my feet start crying because of them. You know what I am saying!!
look details (above)

Camo Jacket - H&M (I’ve had this one for a few years and haven’t found another one like it.)

Teddy Coats have been my absolute favorite this season and I have collected a few in the past year.
The one I have on above is from H&M, but I also have purchase a few from Amazon (here). Bringing this coat was the best decision, because I would have been an ice cube!!

There was one event that I attended where we had to be more dressed up, so instead of me going out and buying a ball gown I rented from Rent The Runway!!! I had heard so much about the site before, but had never used it myself until now. They not only have fancy pieces, but they carry regular everyday looks as well and accessories!! It’s something that I know I will use again when I have another special event. It is worth trying and the site is super easy to use.
Here is a link to the exact dress that I wore.
